A solar observing CD-ROM is available which contains the following:

  • The contents of this web site:

    • The Helio Viewer, Helio Creator and Helio v3.2 Windows® 95/98/2000/ME/XP/NT/Vista software programs.

    • White light disk drawings (all my drawings from January 1999 plus a few from 1997 and 1998 - over 1300 drawings).

    • Disk animations from 1999 (over 110 animations from Carrington rotation 1945).

    • Monthly activity notes and plots of measurements (e.g. sunspot number) from 1996.

    • Web pages on observing the sun, sunspot location, sunspot area, sunspot numbers, sunspot group development trends and a glossary.

    • A personal list of recommended solar books.

    • Stonyhurst disks for disk diameters of 100mm, 125mm, 150mm, 4in, 5in and 6in.

    • An animation of the Sun as seen from the Earth during the period of a year.

    • Observations of the transits of Mercury on 7th May 2003 and Venus on 8th June 2004.

  • Additional yearly disk animations from 1999.

  • Disk drawings in bitmap format for use with the Helio Viewer program.

  • Solar Environment Center (SEC) Solar Region Summary (SRS) daily sunspot reports from 1996 for use with the Helio Viewer program.

The CD-ROM is available for £8, €12 or $16 (including postage) and payment can be made:

  • via PayPal using a debit/credit card,

  • in Sterling via Cheque, Postal Order, Bank Draft drawn on an UK Bank or International Money Order,

  • using cash (Sterling, Euro or US Dollars).
